[9:11 pm ET] The Battlefield Blog has news that the sixth VIP map pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is now available, also offering a trailer showing off the new pack. Word is: "This means that you now will have the chance to play Squad Deathmatches on one of my absolute favorite maps, Panama Canal. You also have the opportunity to engage in fierce Squad Rush fights on Laguna Presa. As per usual, the VIP Map Pack is free for new game buyers. If you picked up the game used, you can get a VIP code either through the Playstation Store/Live Marketplace, or via the in-game store. For PC players, this new content is free for all."

Topics include some of the futuristic gadgetry that will allow soldiers to become invisible and do in their opponents and multiplayer support, including their hopes of being able to support drop-in/drop-out co-op play.

There are new drivers for Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Linux offering Eyefinity - HydraVision enhancements, enhanced pull-down detection, CrossFireX support for rotated displays, and GPU acceleration of VLC 1.1.1 media player.
[9:22 pm ET] An update to the WWII Online: Battleground Europe Website outlines the new version 1.31.2.255 patch that's now live in the MMO military shooter, clearing up some issues that remained after the release of version 1.31 and adding some new features (with a follow-up post describing a stats glitch that's now fixed). Speaking of new features, this blog post outlines plans to implement player-placed objects in the game. Finally, they promise details soon on a "promotion to invite past players to try out the update with a specially designed mini-campaign that will emulate the famous Battle of Monte Cassino."
[8:30 pm ET NVIDIA Driver Downloads now offers new version 258.96 WHQL candidate drivers for NVIDIA accelerators, adding GTX 460 support, and performance improvements for several games.
